Former Albany man admits to having gun, intimidating witness
A former Albany man has pleaded guilty to having a weapon.
Myaire Leigh, 27, admitted to having a loaded gun in the area of Clinton Avenue and Quail Street on April 30, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office. He was also accused of compelling a person to withhold that information, prosecutors said.
Leigh pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and intimidating a witness.
The plea came just as his trial was set to start.
Leigh is due to be sentenced on Sept. 6 at 9:30 a.m.
