The former owner of an ice cream shop in Schenectady will spend the next nine months in jail.
David Elmendorf was sentenced Monday in Schenectady City Court.
He pleaded guilty in February to two counts of menacing.
This stems from an incident at Bumpy’s Polar Freeze in the summer of 2020.
Elmendorf pointed a pellet gun at people who were part of a protest outside the business.
He had faced up to a year in jail on each count.
Bumpy’s closed months after the incident.
