Fourth person arrested in connection with Watervliet shooting
A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a Watervliet shooting last month that led to a standoff.
Kendryek Flynn, 21, is accused of working with another defendant to commit a shooting on Jan. 23 in the area of 23rd Street.
Flynn has been charged with a felony count of hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence and a misdemeanor of criminal facilitation. He was released on an appearance ticket.
The Watervliet Police Department said in a statement that Flynn’s arrest “marks a significant development in this challenging and dangerous investigation.”
Also arrested in this case were Angadi Jones, 19, and Kyle Fowlkes, 19, both of Colonie, and Kasiyan Paynes, 18, of Watervliet.
These three suspects are accused of using a “ghost gun,” which is a weapon that has been reassembled to make it untraceable. They each have been charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation led police to a home on 7th Avenue, where there was a three-hour standoff.
