The failed merger between Frontier and Spirit airlines is having local consequences. Frontier will be putting a pause on flights out of Albany International Airport effective Oct. 4.
Frontier has removed 43 routes, affecting 4,000 flights nationally. Other airports in region affected by this include Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse.
Frontier has three main destinations from Albany, but Raleigh-Durham will be the only destination that is lost.
On Monday, Frontier says they will give refunds or travel credits to customers who have booked a flight that will be cancelled.
