Family and friends of Kaylin Gillis gathered at Flynn Brothers Funeral Home, where a celebration of her life took place Friday afternoon.
Some recognizable faces included Rep. Paul Tonko, former Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings, Washington County District Attorney Tony Jordan and Washington County Sheriff Jeff Murphy.
The funeral follows a vigil on Thursday night in Schuylerville, with around 100 family and friends.
Gillis, 20, was a 2021 graduate of Schuylerville High School.
She was killed on Saturday when a car she was a passenger in turned into the wrong driveway in Hebron, Washington County. The homeowner, Kevin Monahan, 65, allegedly fired his gun as the car was driving away. A bullet hit Gillis and killed her.
Monahan is in the Warren County Jail. A judge denied him bail earlier this week.
