Glens Falls’ water quality is improving, with recent discoloration subsiding, according to Superintendent of Water and Sewer Bill Norton.
The city has followed up with several people who made complaints, said Norton, and their water quality has improved.
The situation continues to be monitored. An exact cause is not known yet.
The city initially said the discoloration in the water was caused by extended periods of high demand in the city’s water distribution system.
If your water is still discolored, run the water for several minutes and it should clear up.
