Guilderland PD arrest and charge Farnsworth student for ‘kill list’
Guilderland Police have arrested and charged a Farnsworth Middle School student with making a threat of mass harm, after discovery of the student having a “kill list,” officials said.
On Thursday around 2:00 p.m., police received a report that a student at the school made a list of school community members that caused a fear of serious harm.
The student was arrested and charged with making a threat of mass harm, a class B misdemeanor, said Guilderland PD. Given their age, the person’s information will not be released.
Police say there does not appear to be any further credible threat.
The student was transported to a local crisis center under law and was referred to Albany County Probation.
Investigation was done by Guilderland PD with cooperation from the Guilderland Central School District and the student’s family.
