Halfmoon man accused of driving drunk with child in car
HALFMOON – A Halfmoon man is facing charges for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle.
On Aug. 11 at about 11:118 p.m., State Police said Jamie A. Vasquez, 53, was stopped on Old State Route 146 in Halfmoon for multiple traffic violations.
Vasquez was arrested and transported to the State Police station in Clifton Park, where police said he refused to provide a sample to determine his blood alcohol content, according to a news release.
Vasquez was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) and a misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child. He was issued an appearance ticket and released to a sober third party.
