Halfmoon man dies in Clifton Park motorcycle crash

A Halfmoon man has died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a car in Clifton Park, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 1 p.m., Geoffrey Gabel, 53, was driving his motorcycle on NY-146 when he hit the vehicle, officials said.

Gabel was taken to Ellis Hospital for his injuries, and was later pronounced dead.

NY-146 was closed from the Shenendehowa Campus to NY-146A for part of Wednesday evening to clear the accident.
