A man accused of causing two police cars to hit each other last September was in court for a brief appearance on Friday morning. Prosecutors are ready for Rahmel Carter’s trial, they said.
The crash happened at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Quail Street.
Officers were trying to arrest Carter in a domestic incident, when they called for backup. The police cars crashed into each other while on their way.
Motions from the defense are due on Jan. 16. The people’s response is due on Jan. 30.
Carter has another case involving drug charges with a hearing scheduled for next Wednesday.
