Gov. Hochul announced that New York state is easing its COVID-19 rules for schools this fall. These new rules will align with updated guidelines released earlier this month by the CDC.
So now there will be no more test to stay or many of the social distancing and quarantine rules.
“No more quarantining, no more test to stay, and the days of sending an entire classroom home because one person was symptomatic or tests positive, those days are over,” said Hochul.
Students with symptoms will still be advised to test and wear a mask.
