Hochul hurt while lifting weights at gym

Gov. Kathy Hochul is wearing a sling after injuring her arm at the gym, she said.
She addressed the sling while at Watervliet Elementary School on Wednesday to discuss education.
“I tore it in the pec muscle, in the gym, lifting (weights),” Hochul said sheepishly, as she rolled her eyes.
She had been lifting 70 pounds and wanted to go up to 80 pounds as part of a New Year’s resolution.
“My body said no to 80 (pounds),” Hochul said.
Hochul admitted she tore it further after not taking care of the initial injury.
Doctors told her it will take six to eight weeks to heal, she said.
Hochul joked this is less dramatic than another injury she got when she once broke her ribs once while skiing.
