Hudson Falls pair face drug charges after traffic stop
Two people from Hudson Falls are facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Queensbury.
Deputies stopped a vehicle on Lower Warren Street Tuesday, Aug. 20 just before 1 a.m. for a traffic violation.
John N. Rowland, 46, was the driver. He had a large quantity of crack cocaine, along with scales and packaging equipment indicative of narcotic sales, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Rowland also possessed some methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms and a switchblade knife, police said.
Rowland was charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon as well as misdemeanors of criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of controlled substance. He was arraigned in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Court and sent without bail to Warren County Jail.
Brittany M. Columbetti, 38, was a passenger in the vehicle and she allegedly had crack cocaine. She was charged with one misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and released pending arraignment at a later date in Queensbury Town Court.
