Nearly 300 cyclists are swarming the Capital Region after completing the third leg of their ride across New York.

The riders are participating in the Empire State Ride, which began in New York City and will end atop Niagara Falls.

The ride is a fundraiser for cancer research at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo.

There are participants from 25 different states, who each raised at least $3,500 to saddle up for this experience.

The Empire State Ride is projected to raise more than $2 million for cancer research.
