It was a beautiful Sunday for the 13th annual Mother-Lovin’ 5K in Saratoga Spa State Park. Hundreds of people showed up to walk, run, and raise money for a great cause.

It’s organized by Kelly’s Angels, a charity founded by NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland, to bring smiles to children who have lost a parent to cancer or other illness. The organization was named after Mark’s wife, Kelly, who passed away from cancer.

The overall winner this year was Anthony Zazzaro, who lost his mother to cancer. This is his third year in a row winning the Mother-Lovin’ 5K in honor of his mom.

The number of runners and walkers that crossed the finish line broke a record. In October, there will be a big celebration for the 15th anniversary of Kelly’s Angels.
