Johnstown man arrested on felony drug charges after traffic stop

State Police arrested a Johnstown man on felony drug charges.

Donald G. Brown, 47, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at about 11:47 p.m. on Oct. 2 on West Main Street in Amsterdam for a traffic violation. Troopers found felony-weight narcotics and other controlled substances as well as drug paraphernalia belonging to Brown, according to a news release.

Brown was charged with three felony counts and two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as a misdemeanor of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

He was released on an appearance ticket and due in Amsterdam City Court on Oct. 24.
