The College of Saint Rose will celebrate its 2024 commencement ceremony this weekend. This will be the college’s final commencement ceremony, marking 100 years since the college’s first graduation ceremony in 1924.

As NewsChannel 13 was first to report last November, the college’s board of trustees voted to shutter the school amid a deep financial crisis.

The ceremony is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at MVP Arena in Albany. There will be 1,736 undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates of advanced study handed out.

More than 5,000 graduates and their families and friends are expected to be in attendance, with many more watching the livestream link around the world.
