Gov. Kathy Hochul is launching an effort to help New York students access financial aid.
Gov. Kathy Hochul is launching an effort to help New York students access financial aid.
The governor declared April “Financial Aid Awareness Month” on Tuesday.
The goal is to highlight aid opportunities for students and the importance of completing the free application for federal student aid, or FAFSA.
The state also launched the 2024 New York STEM Incentive Program. It will offer tuition awards to SUNY and CUNY students pursuing a degree in the STEM field.
