A local man is facing nine years in prison for selling drugs.

David Colon, 44, was arrested in November 2024 after a search of his home on Lexington Avenue in Albany and found 552 grams of cocaine and 171 grams of fentanyl, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Colon, who also has ties to Troy, had previously spent time in prison for his role in a drug trafficking operation in 2022. He was on probation until October 2027, prosecutors said.

Colon pleaded guilty in Albany County Court on Thursday to criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13.
