Logging truck driver blocks shooting suspect from quick escape

A logging truck driver helped police after a state trooper was shot on I-88 in Duanesburg on Friday.

“He actually pulled in front of the car, so that car couldn’t take off,” said Deputy State Police Superintendent Richard Allen.

The photo – which is exploding on social media – shows the truck across both lanes of traffic in order to block the car.

Traffic wasn’t heavy at the time of the shooting, said police. However, there were several trucks and tractor trailers on the road.
