They raised money at Hudson Valley Community College for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York.
Kirsten Broschinsky was recognized at the event after helping to get it off the ground nine years ago, to celebrate the granting of wishes for local children battling life-threatening illness.
She says this day means both celebration and hope – of wishes granted all year long and hope for kids who are waiting for their wish to come true.
Part of Saturday’s event granted a wish to a local girl named Ariel who will be getting a camper, so she can go on camping trips in the great outdoors with her grandfather.
