Man, 73, gets 1 to 3 years in prison for DWI conviction
A 73-year-old Mechanicville man was sentenced on Friday to 1 to 3 years in prison for what was at least his third DWI conviction.
Edward J. Young was arrested on July 11 by Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies in Malta. He was operating driving a vehicle drunk. Young did not have an ignition interlock device and his driver’s license was revoked, police said.
Young pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court in September to DWI. The charge was a felony because he had two previous convictions within the last 10 years.
