Man charged in fatal crash that killed 3 Gansevoort residents
A Delaware man has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and killing three Saratoga County residents in a crash last month.
The crash happened on May 19 just before 2:50 a.m. on Route 13 in Wicomico County. Jay Richard Bynum, 59, was driving north in the southbound lanes in his Dodge Durango. Bynum crashed into a Subaru being driven by 21-year-old Dean Dennison.

The crash killed Dennison, Sierra Rain Merchant, 20, and their 1-year-old child Grayson Dennison. All three are from Gansevoort and were traveling to go to a family vacation in the Outer Banks, according to their GoFundMe page.
Bynum was charged with multiple counts including negligent manslaughter by auto, criminal negligent manslaughter by vehicle, negligent auto homicide by motor vehicle while impaired, driving under the influence and drinking while intoxicated.
