Man arrested for smashing vehicle with sledgehammer

A Hadley man faces charges for allegedly using a sledgehammer to smash up a car.

State police in Wilton say they found 39-year-old William Cason had significantly damaged a vehicle with a sledgehammer on Feb. 12.

There was a warrant out for his arrest for failing to show up in court on an unrelated matter, according to police.

Police say Cason became argumentative when they tried to take him into custody.

He now faces multiple charges and was sent to Saratoga CountyJail.
