Man charged after obstructing police investigation into 3-year-old girl’s death
A three-year-old Rensselaer girl is dead after police and first responders found her unresponsive Friday morning.

Rensselaer Police, Fire, and Mohawk Ambulance responded to 1552 Broadway Friday morning around 7:20 a.m. and performed life saving measures on the child after finding her unresponsive and transported her to Albany Medical Center.
Life saving measures were continued at the hospital, but she was later pronounced dead.
While police were at the scene of 1552 Broadway, Robert Fisher II attempted to gain access to the scene and obstruct the police while they were investigating.
Fisher is now being charged with obstruction, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief.
Fisher is also being charged with aggravated sexual abuse, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, after an interview was conducted, police said.
Fisher was arraigned in Rensselaer City Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail with no bail.
The investigation surrounding the child’s death is still under investigation.
The parents of the child are cooperating with the investigation.
