Man convicted of killing mother, stepfather in Rotterdam home

A Schenectady County jury on Wednesday convicted a man of killing his mother and stepfather in their Rotterdam home in 2023. 

Anthony Lewis was found guilty of stabbing Cathy Guillaume and Bob Guillaume inside their home on Fern Avenue in July 2023.

Lewis was caught in Pennsylvania after a car crash, about a week and a half after the murders.

The verdict came after a trial that began on May 7.

The prosecution rested its case on Tuesday, and the defendant took the stand in the afternoon, according to the court clerk’s office.

Lewis will be sentenced at a later date.
