Man dies in Colonie crash

One person has died after a crash in Colonie.
The 36-year-old man hit a tree on Cohoes Road, under the Alternate Route 7 overpass, around 8 a.m. Friday, police said. He was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center.
The man’s name is not being released, pending notification of family.
No one else was in the car, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The road was closed for a time, but has since reopened.
