A man was hit by a car while walking in Colonie on Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. near Northway Mall and Colonie Center, police said.

The driver who hit him had a green light, and the pedestrian was crossing against traffic, police said.

The victim, who is 46 years old, was taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
