A man is accused of trying to strangle a state trooper in Greene County.
Police were called to a potential hammer attack Tuesday morning on Harold C. Meyer Road. The suspect, Frank Baglieri, 41, fled before police arrived.
A trooper spotted him down the road a short time later. That’s when Baglieri then tried to take his gun and strangle him, police said.
A passing motorist stopped to help the trooper.
The trooper was then taken to Albany Medical Center with minor injuries.
