Man killed after colliding with truck in Schaghticoke

A man has died after colliding with a tractor-trailer style dump truck on Route 40 in Schaghticoke.

Matthew Moore, 27, was going south Route 40 around 7 a.m., when his Jeep crossed the double yellow line and was hit by the truck, said police.

The truck tried to avoid the Jeep and ended up on the shoulder.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was not hurt.

The road was closed for a time, but is back open.

There is no cause yet, investigators told NewsChannel 13.
