Man recovering after Ghent rescue

A man is recovering, after a rescue in Columbia County.

Several agencies got a report on Sunday of a missing vulnerable adult in a wooded area.

DEC forest rangers joined state police in the search for the 78-year-old man from Ghent. One ranger heard a faint call for help – and they were able to pinpoint his location.

The man had minor scrapes and bruises. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
