Man recovering after Montgomery County plane crash

State police are investigating after a weekend plane crash in Montgomery County.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the area of Eaker Road in Palatine.

Police say a privately-owned single-engine plane had a mechanical issue shortly after takeoff.

They say the pilot had some injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening, and was taken to Albany Med.
The cause remains under investigation.
