Man with history of alleged schemes facing new charges in Greene County

There are new charges for a man already accused with crimes in several different Capital Region communities.

Dakota Smith was arraigned in Greene County Court in November on the charge of grand larceny.

He’s accused of taking more than $70,000 for a contracting job, and never doing the work.

NewsChannel 13 reported in 2018 he was sentenced to two to six years in prison after he and his mother admitted they wrote false checks to themselves.
