March Madness games beginning in downtown Albany
The excitement continues to build in downtown Albany. The Sweet 16 round of the women’s college basketball tournament begins at MVP Arena on Friday.

National phenomenon Caitlin Clark and Iowa play Colorado at 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Record crowds have followed Clark everywhere she has gone, and the same will be true this weekend.
The Tigers play UCLA at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The first game Friday was Notre Dame and Oregon State. Tip-off time was 2:30 p.m. That was followed by Indiana and undefeated South Carolina.
Clark and Iowa practiced at MVP Arena on Friday morning. The defending champion LSU Tigers also practiced at MVP Arena on Friday morning.
Clark broke the all-time scoring record for men’s and women’s college basketball this season.
