Men plead guilty in separate Albany County gun possession cases
Two men have pleaded guilty to unrelated firearm possession charges in Albany County.
Jaevon Sampson, 27, was accused of having an illegal loaded weapon around Second Street.
He was accused of having the weapon on October 2, 2022.
Sampson will be sentenced in September. He faces 7 ½ years in prison and five years of parole.
Jamaal Morton, 41, was accused of having an illegal loaded firearm in the town of Colonie.
He was accused of having the weapon in April 2022, in the area of Central Avenue and Reber Street.
His plea also covers a separate drug charge.
He faces a determinate term between 3 ½ to seven years in prison, and five years of parole.
