Missing man found safe in Albany County

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office has located a man that was missing in Albany County.

82-year-old Wesley Knapp of Pennsylvania was found safe, but cold and unable to walk, in heavy brush a half mile from his car in Albany County, Sheriff Craig Apple Sr. said.

He was reported missing after he was last heard from Sunday evening when he called his wife in Pennsylvania and told her he was stuck in mud, Apple said.

His phone then went dead shortly after.

His phone was traced to the area of Stage Road in Berne, Apple said.

He was heading to a location in Clarksville and had never arrived, Apple said.
