When the Nash Weston Onorato Memorial Foundation was started in October 2024, the bedrock of the idea was a scholarship for a graduating senior at Shaker High School. On Thursday, May 15, that scholarship was awarded for the first time.

Chris Onorato and Ashley Miller helped set the parameters and requirements for that deserving student and, by a happy coincidence, a committee of teachers selected Alyssa Caiano.

Alyssa is a student-athlete at Shaker who will attend Northeastern University in the fall. She is the daughter of NewsChannel 13 Chief Meteorologist Paul Caiano.
