National Grid assisting in power restoration after Hurricane Helene
National Grid is sending more than 100 electricians from upstate New York to help restore power in West Virginia.
There are power outages affecting West Virginia because of Hurricane Helene.
The crew from western, central, and eastern New York will assist Appalachian Power in helping to turn the lights back on.
National Grid says the complex task of restoring power requires a lot of line workers and special equipment, which is why utility companies rely on each other for support.
50 electricians from Massachusetts will also be in West Virginia to help out.
