National Grid donates Christmas tree to Ronald McDonald House
National Grid is spreading the holiday cheer.
The company has continued its heartwarming tradition of donating a tree to the Ronald McDonald House for local children.
The tree from Schaghticoke came from retired National Grid employee Mark Murray. The whole process took about 10 minutes.
Murray has cut down trees for the past two years from his land to donate.
This heartwarming tradition, spanning many years, continues to bring joy to the children who find comfort and support at the Ronald McDonald House.
Murray hopes this donation will brighten the spirits of children and their families, he said.
“I think it’s a very worthwhile charity, and it’s wonderful what they do for families and children, so I think it’s a great thing to do,” said Murray.
The tree will be delivered Friday at 9 a.m.
