Jacob Pratt, the National Guard member from Rensselaer injured in a helicopter crash in Texas, is now in rehab.

Pratt’s family said on a GoFundMe page he has made it to physical rehabilitation at the spinal cord injury center.

Pratt’s sister said he is working hard with a dedicated team.

His pain levels are high, she said, but the guardsman is pushing through and regaining strength.

Pratt is learning how to get himself in and out of a wheelchair, the family said, which will help him become independent again.

Pratt was seriously injured on March 8 when the helicopter he was in went down. Two other local guard members, Casey Frankoski and John Grassia III, were killed.
