The bill will mandate notifying Immigration and Customs Enforcement of non-citizen arrests, reinstates maximum sentences for misdemeanors and repeals misguided “protect our courts” laws.
The legislation comes just two weeks after attacks on law enforcement by migrants who were released without bail before fleeing the state.
