A man charged in a gruesome New Scotland murder will represent himself at trial.
Jacob Klein is accused of killing Philip Rabadi, 35, at his New Scotland home on April 13, 2022.
Klein had previously dated Rabadi’s wife. He had stalked Rabadi days before the murder, investigators said.
Rabadi, a physician’s assistant, was found with multiple injuries, according to court documents. He was face down in his garage, with his hands tied behind his back.
Klein had been represented by Mark Bederow, a Manhattan-based defense attorney. Bederow raised doubts about investigators’ handling of evidence in the case.
The trial is set to begin in Albany County Court on Monday.
