New York State Police hosting drone training Thursday in Guilderland

If people see drones above the sky in Guilderland on Thursday, they should not be alarmed.

The New York State Police Unmanned Aircraft System Detail is hosting training with other local, county, state and first-responder pilots.

The training will take place between noon and 8 p.m. at the New York State Police firearms range, located in the area of 6095 Grant Hill Road. 

The public is advised not to fly any personal drones in the area of this training.
