Niskayuna man charged in hit-and-run crash that hurt woman
A Niskayuna man was arrested after police said he struck a woman with his car in Schenectady and left the scene.
Police officers responded to the intersection of Union Street and Nott Terrace around 1:18 a.m. for a report of a woman lying in the roadway. The 41-year-old woman was treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.

The vehicle was identified as a 2024 Tesla, and it was registered to an address in Niskayuna, police said. The driver, 29-year-old Richard I. Gordon, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an incident, speeding and a license plate violation.
He was released and is due back in court in December.
