North Greenbush man arrested twice in three hours

A North Greenbush man was arrested twice in three hours.

Police responded to a residence on Van Dyke Drive around 7:15 p.m. last Wednesday.

Daniel Marshall allegedly damaged property inside earlier and left before officers arrived. Officers planned to get a warrant for his arrest if he did not return. When Marshall did return, he was breaking things again, police said. He was arrested and charged with felony third-degree mischief. He was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and released to return to court at a later date. An order of protection was issued directing him not to commit acts of violence toward the victim.

Marshall then returned to the residence, continued to break property, and fought with a family member, police said.

He was charged with misdemeanors of criminal mischief and criminal contempt.

He was arraigned again at North Greenbush Town Court and sent to Rensselaer County Jail on $10,000 bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
