More than $40 million has been awarded to food service organizations across the state.
It’s through the New York Food for New York Families program, which aims to provide a boost to New York farmers, and increase access to local foods.
Here in the Capital Region, these are the projects that will benefit:
- Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York Inc. (Capital Region/Mid-Hudson), $2 million
- Food Bank Association Of New York State (Capital Region/Statewide), $1,985,703
- Capital Roots Inc. (Capital Region), $500,000
- Comfort Food of Washington County, Inc. (Capital Region), $217,500
