Opening arguments are scheduled to start Tuesday in the trial of a Latham man accused of shooting and killing a man outside Ciro's strip club in Albany last year.

Opening arguments are scheduled to start Tuesday in the trial of a Latham man accused of shooting and killing a man outside Ciro’s strip club in Albany last year.

Ulias Kornegay is charged with second-degree murder in the death of K-Won Lillard outside the establishment on May 24, 2024.

Prosecutors said it stemmed from some sort of fight.

Lillard had several gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A jury of 12 with three alternates has been selected in Albany County Court. The panel is made up of 10 men and five women.

The proceedings are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
