Pair accused of assaulting Hudson Falls woman with scalding hot knife
Two people were arrested for allegedly assaulting a Hudson Falls woman, including heating up a knife with a blow torch and pressing it her face.
Richard Smith, 39, of Glens Falls and Alyssa Johnson, 38, of Warrensburg, are accused of assaulting the victim at a Willow Street residence, Hudson Falls Police said.

Richard Smith, 39, of Glens Falls allegedly grabbed the victim and held her against the wall and Alyssa Johnson, 38, of Warrensburg used the blowtorch to heat the knife and hold it against the woman.
Both Smith and Johnson were charged with first-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment. They were being held for arraignment.
