There are new traffic lines in downtown Albany in an effort to make a tricky intersection safer.

The mayor’s chief of staff, David Galin, posted a photo after Albany police put a fresh coat of paint to mark permanent travel lanes through the intersection of State Street and Swan Street, next to the state Capitol Building.
