Pittsfield man accused of hitting two people with gun to stay behind bars
The Pittsfield man accused of hitting two people with a gun will remain in jail.
Solomon Jones III, 32, is facing multiple assault counts for the incident. Police said it happened just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday an apartment complex on Francis Avenue.
Jones allegedly struck the two people in the head. He is also accused of kicking one of them while they were on the ground. The victims had injuries to their face.
Jones is also charged with carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card and improper storage of a firearm.
At a dangerousness hearing on Tuesday, Jones’ was ordered to be detained for 120 days and his bail was revoked for 90 days on outstanding charges on two pending cases.
